Three queues, never one

Waiting lists

Membership, plant interest, and release reservations remain physically separate. Stable internal order, duplicate prevention, invitation expiry, and explicit acceptance protect every queue.

What members may see

Position without surveillance.

Members may receive a qualitative update such as “Near the front,” “Moving forward,” “Middle range,” or “Recently joined.” Public pages never expose exact positions, totals, or openings. Notifications are deduplicated by member, topic, target, and state version.

Enrollment boundary

Joining a list is not a subscription. Automatic enrollment requires prior affirmative consent; otherwise the system issues a time-limited invitation that the member must explicitly accept.
